Week 9- My Secret Sauce

Five ways I think I have human capital that is truly unique:
1)    I am extremely well rounded. I am apart of many clubs and sports while maintaining a large workload from school. I am very used to managing a hectic schedule.
2)    I am always positive. I have a habit of always thinking the best of people and situations. I will try to never let a situation bring me down.
3)    I am a pacifist. I do not like it when people argue unnecessarily and I will always try to resolve these arguments in the easiest and least painful way possible.
4)    I am inherently curious. I will always be the person to ask “why” in every situation. I love to learn about new things. This curiosity has led me to retain information in many different subject areas.
5)    I am a hard worker. My dad stayed at home with me while my mom worked so he had a huge influence on my upbringing. I always had to work hard to get the things I wanted. This combined with the fact that I have swam for 11 years now has made me into an incredibly hard working individual.
Reflection:

I dug really deep into this assignment. When I was thinking about traits about myself I thought of things that other people may not necessarily notice or identify the same way I do. For example, I am a very curious person. This came out in the interviews as me “being a good cook”. One of my favorite things to do is cook new things and experiment with the ingredients I have. Another example of this is my athleticism. Almost every one of my interviewees mentioned this; I brought it out as being a hard worker. For the most part we are on the same page, it was just worded differently. Every person I interviewed is very close to me, and it seems like they know me very well!
interviewed my 3 roommates, my mom, and my boyfriend. Enjoy!

  1. Courtney,

I think it is very interesting how you asked your mom to be one of your interviewees. I never thought of utilizing family, good idea. Anyways, my interviews were similar to yours as my friends said similar things about me but with different words. It is also neat how you explained being a good cook as your curiosity with testing out foods. Really good job of connecting things together. If you want to check out mine, the link is below.

  2. Courtney, I thought it was a great idea for you to list human capitals that you didn't think your interviewers would of referred you having. This allowed us to see just how many traits you do have. It is good to see that most of your interviewers did mention a few of the traits you listed as well. You did a great job on this assignment.
